    I recently used the Baker's Lane 1 lb. Glazed Aluminized Steel Bread Loaf Pan (9" x 4 1/2" x 2 3/4") to bake a sourdough loaf, and it performed exceptionally well. Made from 24-gauge aluminized steel, this pan combines the strength of steel with the superior heat conduction of an aluminum-silicon alloy, ensuring even baking with no hot spots.

    After just a few months I noticed that everytime I bake with these pans, silver paint is transferred unto my bread. I have to use a large piece of parchment paper in the pan to prevent that transfer. That is the only con as they bake evenly with great color.

This is the perfect size for gifting. It's substantial enough to feel like a full loaf but small enough to hold together and make for a charming presentation. Four stars because the price is not as good a value as many of the other brands available on Webstaurant.

Good quality we put these through some wear and tear and they hold up plastic or wooden utensils in the pan only take the loaf out the slices so you don't mess up the finish other than that it'll last a long time

Prior to first use, spray the pan with a lubricant and place in the oven for 8-10 minutes to season the pan. To preserve the glaze coating on your pan, remove baked items from your pan as soon as possible and do not use the pan for storage. Moisture can cause the coating to lift. For the best performance, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth instead of submerging in water. Use only mild soap or detergent and never soak the pan. Wipe completely dry and store upside down. Do not use alkaline-based cleaners or abrasive pads to clean the pans.
